Cloverdale Spurs Baseball Is extremely proud to recognise the top achievement of one of our own, Wesley Moore. The grade 11 left handed pitcher (currently attending Vauxhall Academy of Baseball) played his entire minor baseball career in Cloverdale and was selected to Canada's Junior National Team earlier this year.

Wesley joined Team Canada in early March of this year and first travelled to St. Petersburg Florida for the MLB spring training. While there he pitched against Team Puerto Rico, New York Yankees, and Team Europe. In mid April he then went to the extended spring training camp in Orlando Florida and pitched against the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals.

On May 18, Wesley travelled with Team Canada to the Dominican Republic as the team participated in the Dominican summer league. While there Wesley pitched against Chicago Cubs and Seattle Mariners prospect teams.

From July 1-3, Wesley will be  with Team Canada in Toronto where they will be practicing for 3 days with the Toronto Blue jays,  as well as joining the Jays on the field at Rogers stadium on Canada Day as part of the opening pre-game ceremonies. After the ceremonies, Wesley and the team get to enjoy the game versus the Cleveland Indians from box seats.

Wesley will wrap up his Team Canada season when they highlight  their summer schedule travelling to Havana Cuba July 4. Wes and the team will spend 2 weeks playing  in a series of games against the Cuban national team.

Way to go Wesley, you have made us very proud and are great example to inspire the next wave of up and coming Cloverdale Spurs baseball players!
