Equipment Room - Equipment & Uniform Return *** UPDATED ***

The equipment room will be open on Saturday July 31st from 9:00am to 12pm for any final equipment and uniform returns.
|
|
|
Before returning the team equipment, coaches should remove everything from the bag, shake the bag out clean, and ensure only equipment to be return is placed back in the bag. Also please identify any equipment in need of repair.
|

Bantam AAA Provincials
|
|
Cloverdale Minor Baseball Association is honoured to be hosting the 2010 Bantam AAA Provincial Baseball Championships August 5th to 8th.
|
|
|
We are getting ready to welcome the best Bantam baseball players in the province along with their parents, coaches and tournament officials.
|
|
|
The round-robin portion from Thursday to Saturday will be held both in Cloverdale Ball Park and Hillcrest Park, with semis and final on Sunday to be held in Cloverdale Ball Park.
|
|

The summer schedule of games to be played in our parks is now being compiled and will be updated as the schedule for each division is released.

Spirit Wear - Coaches Jackets *** NEW ***
|
|
We are now accepting orders for coaches (or player) jackets, the images to the right are mock-ups of what they will look like.
|
|
|
|
|
These water and wind resistent jackets are full zip up with zippered pockets. They can be odered with either the white accent down the sleeve or with red accent.
|
|
|
The price is $60 for the jacket and an additional $27 if you want the matching track suit pants.
|
|
|

Annual General Meeting - Monday June 21st
|
|
Our Annual General Meeting was held on Monday evening in the Cloverdale Ball Park Clubhouse.
|
|
The following positions were up for election this year, and the results are:

|
|
Cloverdale finally has its own sporting goods store, and it specialializes in baseball equipment!
|
|
|
Ball Park Sports has recently opened, and is located at 18651 52 Ave - Unit #103.
Just head south on 184 St from #10 Highway, turn left on 53 Ave, follow it around the bend and you will find them on the left.
|
|
|
Hours of operation are Tuesday to Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm, closed Mondays.

Practice Fields
|
|
We now have use of a couple fields for practices.
|
|
|
North Cloverdale West Park (68 Ave & 182 St) has a large backstop and infield and is great for the older divisions. We now have this field on a full time basis from March 29 through July 11.
|
|
|
Chimney Heights Park (74 Ave & 146 St) has a small backstop but has lots of room (except for the short porch in left field). We have this field Monday, Wednesday and Friday from March 29 through June 25.
|
|
|
Attached is our Field Allocation Contract which coaches who are going to use the practice fields should print out and have along in case of any dispute with another group trying to use the fields during our allocated times.
If another group is there and interfering with your practice, feel free to point out to them that we have the field under contract and they must move to give you room to practice.
|
|
|
To manage the allocations for these fields, we are splitting them into 1 1/2 hour increments (5:00pm & 6:30pm on week nights, and at 9:00am, 10:30am, 12:00pm, 1:30pm, 3:00pm, 4:30pm and 6:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays).
The goal is that teams would show up a half hour before their allocated time and do their running, stretching and throwing before moving onto the infield at their booked time.

NOTE: The team who is assigned the slot must be given enough room for infield and outfield to hold a proper practice including batting practice.
If you are there early to warm up before your allocated time, please make sure your team is off to the side where you will not encroach or interfere.
|
|
|
We would like to see Tadpole and Mosquito (or even Super-T and Pee Wee) use the Chimney Heights field (as there is lots of room for their batting practice), but we will not restrict it as we want to ensure maximum use of these fields.
Ideally North Cloverdale West should be used for Pee Wee and up, as the infield is set up for 70' or 80' bases.

We will post the updated schedule here so that it is always here as a reference.
|
|
|
Each coach may request one practice slot per week, and the slots will be assigned on a strictly first come first serve basis.
DO NOT request slots that you will not use, and if plans change make sure you cancel your slot with enough time that someone else may be assigned it.
At the start of each week, if there are unused slots teams may request an additional time slot for that week.
|
|
|
To request practice spots on these fields, coaches should email Rae Andrews at rae.andrews@gmail.com and include a few choices of times so that if you are beat to your first choice you may get a different slot.
