By Cloverdale Baseball

The winter training sessions will run 4 days a week, 3 days during the week and 1 option day on the weekend. Two of the training days will consist of baseball activities, the third will be speed and agility training at Game Ready Fitness.  The Optional day will run on Saturday mornings.

Winter training sessions will last 7 weeks and will run from Nov. 2nd-Dec. 18th. The total cost for Winter Training will be $250 per player for 20 sessions plus potentially 7 optional Saturday sessions (approximately $10/session). These fees cover our coaches’ costs, Game Ready Fitness and winter training supplies such as baseballs.

Schedule and Training Plan

Monday and Wednesday Nights- 7-9pm : Cloverdale Batting Cage

These sessions will focus on baseball activities consisting of hitting sessions with defensive days mixed in.

Thursday Night 7-8pm (6 sessions) :  Game Ready Fitness, #104-8485 53 Ave, Surrey

We have a one-hour session scheduled each week at Game Ready Fitness.  This is an excellent training facility and the training will be run by Aaron Myette.  The focus of these 1-hour training sessions will be speed and agility.

Saturday Morning- 9-10am : Cloverdale Batting Cage

These will be optional position practices focusing on pitching, fielding, catching and hitting. Depending on the number of players signed up for winter training it might be necessary that players will be notified each week as to who will attend on the Saturdays to keep the practice time structured as this is only a 1 hour time slot.

We encourage all players that would like to play for Cloverdale Nationals College Prep program for the 2020 season to attend a minimum of 2 sessions a week. These practices will allow the coaches to continue the evaluation process for next season as well as build on the foundation we have started during this Fall.

After the 7 weeks have been completed, we will take Christmas and New Years off and will have a few more practices before we announce our College Prep team, which will be mid to end of January.

If you have questions or would like clarification on Winter Training, please let me know.

Thanks, Coach Bob
