The BC Baseball Coaches Caravan is coming to Cloverdale Ball Park on Sunday April 22!

This FREE fun-filled event is for all players, parents and coaches, and will be broken into two sessions 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM for 5U through 9U (Blastball through Tadpole) and 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM for 11U and 13U (Mosquito and Pee Wee).

This is the 8th year that the Coaches Caravan has been travelling the province, but only the 2nd time that we will be hosting it in Cloverdale, so we are hoping that everyone will take full advantage. You do not want to miss this event!

This year, the 2018 BC Baseball Coaches Caravan is setting tracks to 24 different baseball communities in BC! It is the biggest tour in the eight year history of the program.

The Coaches Caravan is delivered by BC Baseball free of charge in partnership with local associations, and designed to give players, coaches and parents the ultimate launch into the Spring baseball season!

There is never a dull moment with this group as they energize players, coaches and parents with instruction, drills and information on improving their coaching and playing skills.

This dynamic and engaging all-star cast of coaches like Pete Caliendo, Pete Wilkinson, Grant Rimer, Mike Kelly and Michael Dagg work hands on with coaches and players to teach new drills, demonstrate critical fundamentals and mechanics of the game as well as how to manage a practice pace.

Players, through the drills taught, learn sound mechanics, the importance of keeping the game fun and safe, and how to work with their coaches and teammates. Instructors encourage players to continue to use these drills through the duration of their season.

The goal is to help players improve their skills so that they have more on-field success and ultimately get more enjoyment from the game. This 90 minute experience usually opens with a group player warm up while the parents and coaches take moment to absorb sound insights around how to help their players enjoy the game. The group will then break out into 3-4 groups where parents and players pair up to work through different stations, hitting, baserunning, catching and throwing.

The 2018 BC Baseball Coaches Caravan is well worth your time! It is an ideal lead off to the season.

Carmen Marin, President of Prince George Youth Baseball Association had this to say

“....This group of coaches never disappoints us. This is the third year the Caravan has come to Prince George and our parents have told me they love the fact that they learn something new every year.

The passion and commitment to keeping kids interested for the long term development of the sport is evident in each drill they teach and the way they interact with the kids and parents.

Another successful Caravan with a great group of guys, and the addition of Pete Wilkinson was a great fit…..”
