Cloverdale Minor Baseball is excited to host various training camps and clinics throughout the year. Some of our clinics are held in our Batting Cage, while others may be on-field. These clinics will focus on a variety of different topics and will be hosted by high-quality instructors.

Instructor Bios
John Parker

Started coaching baseball in Cloverdale in 1986
Spent 17 years as a coach, equipment manger, vice president and president
2002 won the Western Canadian Championship and got a bronze at the Canadian Championship
2003 won the BC Provincials and finished 5th at the Canadian Nationals
2005 coached Whalley SLL to a provincial title and 3rd at the Nationals
2006 coached Langley Blaze to a silver in the BCJPBL
Moved to the Fraser Valley Chiefs in 2007 till 2016
2008 coached Whalley SLL to a Provincial and Canadian Championship
2008 finished 3rd at the SLL World series
Coached several North West Scout teams until 2016
Started the Township Baseball program in 2018
2020 joined the Cloverdale Nationals of the College Prep Baseball League
Michael Dagg

- PBL from 2011-2013
- Taft College - on scholarship - from 2013-2015

Matt Kingshott

Played 12 seasons through BC Minor with Cloverdale and North Langley.
Played with the Whalley Chiefs and Delta Blue Jays of the PBL.
Had a 1.96 ERA with the Delta Blue Jays after recovering from a torn labrum and rotator cuff.
Dedicated to the physical and mental well-being of young athletes.
Enjoys blending traditional baseball fundamentals with new-age coaching concepts.

Ryan West

Played BC Minor High Performance until Bantam
Played for the North Delta Blue Jays
Went to Minnesota to play college baseball where I was a starting catcher.
Finished my career at the University of the Fraser Valley where I was a starting catcher.
Batted .333 in at the University of the Fraser Valley
Won the first baseball championship for the University of the Fraser Valley
Currently coaching on the 15U Bantam AA/AAA staff
Jake MacDonald

All-conference outfielder at Douglas College (Canada)
- Team captain
- In sophomore season, batted .317 with a .403 on-base percentage and .425 slugging percentage
- Had 38 hits and 15 bases on balls in 34 games
- Voted a second-team all-star in his conference
Played at Texas A&M University – Texarkana, an NAIA school in the U.S.
- In 2019, posted a .412 on-base percentage and a .412 slugging percentage
Played in Western Canadian Baseball League
- Had a .705 OPS in 2019
In 2020, played with Solingen in the German first Bundesliga
- In 10 games with Solingen, batted .300 with a 1.028 OPS
- Hit three home runs and drove in 15
In 2021, played for Solingen in the German first Bundesliga
- In 12 games with Solingen, hit .333 with a 1.036 OPS
- Hit three home runs, five doubles and drove in 9
